South African Sweet Pudding

Well known delicious South African Dessert.
Preheat oven to 350 deg F
Butter/ Grease an oven dish.
Whip the sugar and Eggs until thick and lemon colored. Add Jam and mix.
Melt Butter and add to mixture. Add Vinegar as well.
Mix together the flour, soda and salt.
Add the dry mixture with the milk to the egg mixture. Mix WELL.
Pour into an oven-proof dish and bake until pudding is brown and well-risen. This takes about 30 - 45 minutes.
In a pot, melt together the ingredients for the sauce, and stir well.
Pour it over the pudding as soon as it comes out of the oven. Leave to stand awhile before serving. Serve warm.
This Recipe comes out very sweet. You don't have to serve with ice/whipped cream, but you can if you like. Either way.. Its delicious!
