Heat Oil on medium heat. Once Oil is hot, cook onions for a minute.
Add in curry powder, mixed herbs, cumin, turmeric and garlic, Stirring constantly for 2 Minutes.
Add Ground beef and cook until browned. Remove from heat.
Stir in the chutney, apricot jam, all the lemon zest, half the lemon juice, tomato paste, and salt and pepper to taste. Taste it and add more lemon juice, salt or pepper if desired.
Take your bread you put aside earlier and squeeze out all the milk. Put the milk aside. Rip your bread into pieces and add it to the beef mixture. Mix. Put in Oven safe baking dish.
Add the milk from the bread and the 1/2 cup milk together. Whisk the Eggs and season with ¼ teaspoon salt and pepper to taste. Pour over the meat and bread mixture. Add bay Leaves on top.
