Gemma Orkin Ceramic Large Oval Platter - Pincushion Protea

These beautiful hand crafted and hand painted platters are created by Cape Town ceramicist Gemma Orkin. The ceramic platters are a work of art with each piece displaying a hand drawn protea. These platters have endless functions and make the perfect accessory for any dining or kitchen table 

Gemma's work is inspired by the colors and magic of South African nature. She includes love, family, birds and flowers in her work.  Each piece of her stoneware is fired, hand crafted and painted by Gemma herself.  She builds her ceramic pieces up in coil. No molds or wheels are used in the process.
